3 column layout and footnote to appear in the same column bottom of page
Hi,
I have a 3 column layout of text. In the third column, I need to insert a footnote.
I need the footnote to appear at the bottom of the page but it must be under the third column at the bottom of the page. see below screenshot.
I tried several ways to setting the footnote and it still appear on the left hand side (1st column) bottom of the page.
Hi Jenny,
Place the selection before the footnote number in the footnote area and press the Enter Key twice.
If you also want the Footnote Separator in the third column, change to Draft View and then in the Footnotes section of the References tab of the ribbon, click on Show Notes. Then select the Footnote Separator from the Footnotes drop down and apply the appropriate left indent to that item so that it is located in alignment with the left of the third column.
You can then have this arrangement
