I have downloaded the iso and stored it in "Downloads". When it was downloaded, a new drive appeared in "my computer" with the contents of the ISO and I ran the setup.exe. My server only has Windows Server 2022 Standard and Plesk installed.

But if I download the iso and want to install it, it doesn't allow me to keep the configuration and files. This option appears disabled (see image). My server is in a datacenter and I access it remotely.

I need to keep my configuration and files.

You need to run setup.exe from the mounted ISO from within Windows. If you boot to the ISO, you can't do the upgrade.

If by chance you are running setup.exe from the mounted ISO within Windows, then something else is blocking it.

Do you know if the "Windows update" notification to update to version 2025 will appear again in the coming days?

Sometimes I go into "Windows update" on my Windows server 2022 to check if the notification to update to version 2025 appears again and so far I haven't seen it.

As far as I know, that was a glitch and was NOT supposed to happen. I am not aware if WS2025 will again be advertised to older server versions. There are so many configurations possible, such a large matrix. :)

You can always download a valid ISO file, mount it, and do an in-place upgrade that way.

I suggest you wait until the next iteration which should happen December 10. There are a lot of issues with the present installations (the event viewer is full of errors), including licensing and roles and features, they should be fixed by then.

Yesterday in "Update" (Sever 2022) I had a notice to upgrade to version 2025. I have purchased a license and today when I go to "Update" I don't have the notice to upgrade. How can I upgrade my 2022 server to version 2025?

I just checked another WS2022 server in my lab and I also do NOT see that link. I'm speculating that Microsoft made a mistake and unintentionally sent that notice to upgrade to Windows Server 2025 in Windows Update. I guess they jumped the gun...

Is there any way to upgrade from 2022 to 2025? The ISO I have is for new installation only. When running the installation I can't select "Keep Files...", this section is disabled. Is there an ISO to upgrade to that will preserve settings and files?

I don't have knowledge of when that specific product will be released, sorry.
