In-place upgrade possibility planned for Windows Server 2025 Datacenter Azure Edition ?
There is currently no official ISO for Windows Server Datacenter: Azure Edition that supports setup.exe /auto upgrade for in-place upgrades.
Azure Update Manager does not support OS version upgrades for Azure Edition through optional features.
Is anyone aware of a supported workaround?

- +1 on this this is a huge gap, to fill this please consider offering IPU to 2022 Azure Edition via Windows Update. It is technically possible. There is a reason why we do not have ISO images anymore but just marketplace images.

Do you know what the following statement means?
"In-place system upgrades are supported for specific versions of Azure Windows VMs. We're working to broaden support of in-place system upgrade (as a Feature Update) to other versions soon."
Is there a roadmap or any official announcement planned regarding broader support?

Any release date or roadmap available for Azure Edition in-place upgrades? 🙂
Currently I only found this article:
