Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 --> Replacement?
Am replacing a customers old Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 but I don't see any equivalent 2019 version, hardware OEM or otherwise.
Any suggestions on what I can replace it with?

The equivalent version of Windows Storage Server would be Windows Server IoT, which would be available for purchase along with OEM hardware.

The first thing you should do is ensure that you have installed all the necessary updates on both nodes. Specifically, make sure that you have installed the latest Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2019, as well as any other updates related to Storage Spaces Direct.
You may also want to check that you have enabled the required Windows features for Storage Spaces Direct. These features include Data-Center Bridging (DCB), Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, and the File Server role.

If you have done all of this and are still experiencing issues, you may want to check the event logs on both nodes to see if there are any error messages that could point to the root cause of the problem. Additionally, you can try running the PowerShell command "Get-ClusterLog" to generate a detailed log of the cluster's operation, which may help you diagnose the issue.
If you're still unable to resolve the problem, you may want to consider seeking assistance from Microsoft's support team or a qualified IT professional. You could use Windows Server 2019 Standard.

Dave Patrick Thx very much, this seems like the way to go since there isn't a Win Storage Server 2019 available that I am aware off.
Yes, I think so, you're welcome.
