Title: Windows Server 2019 – Personalization and Lock Screen Group Policy Missing
Dear Microsoft Community,
We have a Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition Domain Controller, and we are trying to configure a Lock Screen policy through Group Policy.
However, we are unable to find the following policy path in Group Policy Management:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization
The Personalization folder itself is not available.
We also checked Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > All Settings and manually searched for Lock Screen-related policies, but we could not find the required settings there either.
We also tried managing the Group Policy from a client machine using Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT), but the required Personalization and Lock Screen policies are still not available.
Our environment:
Domain Controller: Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition
Client machines: Windows domain-joined computers
Management: Group Policy Management and RSAT
Issue: Personalization and Lock Screen policy settings are missing
Could someone please help us understand why the Personalization policy folder is missing from Group Policy Management?
Do we need to install or update any ADMX/ADML templates?
Which Administrative Template version should we use for Windows Server 2019 and our client Windows versions?
Is there any other recommended method to configure the Windows Lock Screen through Group Policy?
We have already tried checking the settings manually and using RSAT, but the required policies are still not visible.
Any guidance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
