Windows Insider Builder ran into a problem

I've been encountering this screen since yesterday and I'm unsure why. Whenever I open my laptop, all of my drives, except for the C drive, disappear.

Although my DNS issues from yesterday have been resolved and it's functioning well now, I'm still seeing this screen. What could be causing it? All of my Windows updates are current. Can someone please help me?

  • Booting into Safe Mode can help you determine if the problem is caused by third-party software.

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. As soon as it starts, press F8 or hold down Shift + F8 (depending on your setup) to access the boot menu.
    3. Select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking.
    4. Check if you can access your drives in Safe Mode.

Boot into safe mode and roll back to previous version. This works after installing the update within 15 days!

The issue with disappearing drives (except for the C drive) and the error screen might be related to the Windows Insider build being unstable or a hardware/driver conflict. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

    1. Check Disk Management:
      • Press Win+X, select Disk Management, and see if your drives are listed but not assigned a letter.
      • If so, right-click the drive, choose Change Drive Letter and Paths, and assign a letter.
    2. Update Storage Drivers:
      • Open Device Manager, expand Disk Drives, right-click each drive, and choose Update Driver.
      • If issues persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.
    3. Check Insider Build Stability:
      • Unstable Insider builds can cause such issues. Consider rolling back to a stable version via Settings > Recovery if available.
