Wi-Fi has become unusuable on my PC

Hello, I have come across an issue where my Internet has become so slow on my PC to where nothing will load.

For a bit of context, the other day the Internet on my PC was playing up a bit. It was having awful lag spikes at random intervals (upwards of 5k ping) for a good amount of time I was using it. It eventually sorted itself out and became fine again after a while, so I played it off as nothing and just my Internet bugging out.

Fast forward a little bit and I've just came back today from spending a few nights at my GFs place. The Internet has completely gone to ruin as now my speed on my PC has trickled down to actual *BYTES* (as Steam says from its update attempts). It's been like this for over 7 hours now and at one point seemed to have gotten a little better before going back down again.

What's weird about this is that this is only happening on my PC. My phone, switch, and other devices connect just fine and run without issue. I've tried switching from my WiFi card to my USB adapter but there's been no difference. I've tried uninstalling my WiFi card. No difference there either. As far as I'm aware, nobody else in my family has been experiencing this either.

Some extra details that may help get an idea of what is going wrong;

-My PC (both card and adapter) pick up the WiFi connection and connect fine.

-It doesn't say I have no Internet on Windows, however everything loads so slowly programs treat it as if I have no Internet.

-There is no way for me to properly test my Internet speed as I can't even load a speed check on FireFox.

-No issues arise when troubleshooting besides the fact that it cannot connect to a website.

-I ran a quick scan on Windows to see if there were any viruses lingering, nothing was flagged.

If anyone has any idea what it may be, or have any questions or details that I missed. Please tell me. Thank you.

    You _could_ have malware on your device, the first thing they do is hide it from scanners and defender.

    Apart from reinstalling your PC there is no cure. Try running netstat on the cmd line and check the IP addresses of the outgoing connections. First, shutdown ALL programs that may run in the background. Close your browser, mail, apps, etc. If the list of connections is still large, then you should get an anti-virus cleaning ISO, copy it to a bootable USB disk and reboot with that disk. Scan you PC from the bootable USB disk and see if there is malware. Sounds to me like there may be some...

    Since you can connect to Wi-Fi but speeds are unusably slow (and you've already tried two different adapters with the same result), we can skip the hardware troubleshooting and focus on Windows itself.

    Run the following commands at the command prompt:

    netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset

    Then restart your computer and update the wireless network adapter driver.
