When Windows 11 will support 7gen i7-7500U intel processcor
Hii everyone
I have aroud 4 years old computer(running Windows10) that has the i7-7500U intel CPU.
I checked with the "PC health check" app, and the only missing requirment update to windows 11 is the proccessor.
Does Micorsoft will update the Windows11 to support this CPU also?
thank you very much for helping!

Has anyone tried this method yet?
this for clean install https://youtu.be/FOG9lW0GlCc
this for update from win10 https://youtu.be/u1FmfJpJsKw
this you dont need to download win10 iso file, just edit appraiserres.dll https://youtu.be/qswIMbzyLQw
this you dont need to download win10 iso file, just delete appraiserres.dll https://youtu.be/CDLsbHijs3c
It doesn't need registry hack. If anyone has tried it and how did it work, let me know.
- AnonymousOf course that will work, the registry hack is fine 🙂
- AnonymousHello Fluke,
If you go to aka.ms/waystogetwin11, you can just add that dword to the registry to allow it to byapss method.
Though you have to have TPM 1.2- flukefluq2Copper Contributor

What I can tell by looking at my benchmarks, Windows 11 is very fast.- rdmartinCopper Contributor
We need some folks to try the registry hack to upgrade to Win11 and report their experience. I don't want to be the first

- AnonymousUm where is the 3205U in the Windows 11 supported processor list?

Same here. I've Intel i7-7500U @ 2.70GHz.
Specs of my Pc.
- Supports Secure Boot.
- TPM 2.0 enabled.
- 16 GB RAM.
- 500 GB Storage.
- 2 Cores.
- 2.9 GHz Clock speed.
I guess it meets the bare minimum requirements but still says the processor isn't currently supported.
- AnonymousI have no idea either, it's just not a 8th gen, just upvote every feedback in feedback hub related to this issue. You can either rgo to beta channel and get the upragde to use the registry hack aka.ms/waystogetwin11.
This will alow you to use the ISO and bypass the CPU requirement. note take this at your own risk - anjanaousephCopper ContributorSame issue with me!

If you can go here https://aka.ms/AAe0h74 and upvote the feadback I will really appricate that. - DrHuuu705Copper ContributorHello, I would like an official statement as to why this processor will not be supported. It's a simple question for Microsoft. Thanks . Have a nice day 🙂

DrHuuu705No official answer from me, but I have installed it on a i7-7500U machine, and there is one little thing, where it appears somewhat laggy compared to Win10: The file explorer. For example when clicking on a new folder, its display comes after a slight delay. Also selecting multiple files - while pulling up the selection area with the mouse, it only reacts stepwise. I wonder if these effects are really to be attributed to the 7500 CPU.
- msmonirCopper ContributorI am using Windows 11 on Intel CORE i7 10th GEN. No issues so far.
- martinovitchCopper ContributorWe are discussing 7th gen, not 10th gen. But even on 7th gen it works fine, I installed it anyway.
- Cragg24Copper ContributorI had read somewhere that if installed on a 7th gen that there would be no updates. Have you been able to update your windows? (I don't know if there have even been any updates, but I need to ask)
- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorFor all of you have issue with the Windows 11 compatibility, I advise you to open start and search for feedback and open Feedback Hub app and file a report and request your processor to be supported. If the feedback exist , then upvote it.
- KhoiHiteconCopper ContributorSame to my Question
Hope That MS will support Core i7 7500u soon
Thank you! - flukefluq2Copper Contributor
same problem here, hope ms add 7500u to support list in future

The appropriate response will be perhaps however authoritatively no in the drawn out https://www.sydneyfoodco.com/pages/meal-plans out how they will end Windows 10 help in 2025 that provide you some insight into where fabricates and Microsoft is going.
Microsoft is needing to end clients to move up to new frameworks so they can open the components of chipset on the motherboards for their working frameworks.
This is the reason they have hard prerequisite for TPM include too for security and backing of new equipment that coming.
