"We couldn't update the system reserved partition"

Recently I joined windows insider and tried installing dev build but the problem is that after downloading is finished in settings the windows installer opens up and says "We couldn't update the system reserved partition"

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you.

Thank you KapilArya this worked for me on @home Windows 11 Pro.

       Microsoft,

I hope you realize this is not a real-world solution, but a work around for more advanced Windows users. Most users do not know enough about computers to perform such a task, not to mention the burden this issue will put on what will hopefully only be a limited number of Enterprise organizations.

      Hi, this fixed the problem.
Only I had to do was to type efi after the command "mountvol y: /s"

      Thanks for the help.

      Hi Kapil Arya,
      Thanks for your reply.

I am sad to say that this method didn't help.

This is shown when I am entering "mountvol y: /s"

Also let me inform you that the efi partition is 100% free

I will be happy if you helped me on this 🙂

      Thank you.
