Update always roll back and failed and takes longer then usual
I tried to install the latest preview undate package, but it seems that it cannot be installed for some reason. It progressed to a extent and then the system began roll back the update progress, which made it take almost 40 min to finish the whole process, but without a proper update.
My Computer is in good condition with good performace. But there is only 15G in my C drive. I dont know if this can be the problem.
And on the other hand I really hope The MS developers can make it easier to relocate alll the appdate to another dive. The appdata comsumes at least 30% of my C drive out if 200G. I tried to relocate appdata but I failed, almost having to reboot my system.
- Ethan_GarfinkleIron ContributorThe update roll back seems to be a common issue. I have this issue with error code 0x80070002. the 15 gigs on C: Drive has no effect. More than enough for the update. The update for me fails all the time same error for last 3 beta updates. It reaches 100% and on last reboot it tells me "Undoing system changes" or something similar. You are not alone. I know how frustrating this can be for you. I have done all scans and checks but comes back as good. Just a bug in update.
- FinshopeumCopper ContributorI see. Thanks buddy

Hi, please provide more details (what update is it? )
What version of Windows do you have now.
Sometimes rolling back an update is good for the user - pause the update.

- FinshopeumCopper ContributorSorry for my late message. Yesterday I tried to update again but it failed again.... I am now at Version 1000.22000.593.0 (win11 insider programme enrolled). The update patch is for version Windows 11 Insider Preview 22621.1 (ni_release). btw I am in domestic China, and I have also installed PowerToys. Ummm I don't know if these could be the problem... This is really frustrating because the undapte and the roll back really take time...

This is the program with the highest privileges - so it can cause a problem.
All the rollbacks were after downloading through the Windows update section, or did you manually try to download the ISO and update in place?
