System freeze on restart - windows 11 dev
Sometimes when changes are made or some driver is installed or just regular restart, the system freezes while rebooting, requiring hard reset, only fix I found is override boot in bios.

Same here.
Installed the preview on a (splendid) Asus ZenBook Duo 14 and get freezes all the time.
Sometimes on the Login screen, sometimes later on.
Tried safe mode which didnt work either, so not sure if it is driver related...
- Luka_SinobadCopper ContributorTurn CSM on in bios and try again.

There is no such thing as CSM on my notebook
Asus ZenBook Duo 14
I am unable to report directly from my device as it is freezing within a minute.
- Trigger746Copper ContributorSame problem , but my system freezes randomly for half an hour like when I surfing web or just open any :open_file_folder:
And this happened to couple of time

Of course, please report such problems to the feedback center - this is very important! always hanging is a confirmation that there has not been a full implementation of the system and rather do not recommend a hard reset - it is better to leave the power in sleep.
- Mf2021_asus_482egCopper Contributorhello, i have the same problem as you, and i have the same asus. I'm trying to install Windows 10 again, but it's not recognizing ssd. asking to install the driver... did you find the solution?
- DominikReberCopper Contributor
I had searched the next for 2 days.
This driver will find your SSD:

Thats the short link to the driver. Load at Windows INstallation

Luka_Sinobad Can you please tell me how to override the boot in bios? I am having the same problem.
- NoKiddinCopper ContributorSame on my asus vivobook f571gt. I was on 22000.132 when it started freezing and crashing to bsod. Rolled back to 22000.100 but the issue remains.. I've updated intel and nvdia display drivers but no luck. What scares me more though.. I was on the UEFI BIOS and it froze there as well. Has anyone been able to get a fix?
- mahmoodqaziCopper ContributorThere's no problem to for CMS or UEFI, this is simply a graphic driver problem as you know freezing is related to that dear devs...
What I did was updated and after update it froze like you all experienced but I managed to disable the graphic driver which for me was Intel HD 620 latest version and I uninstalled and removed it completely what I was remains was (basic graphic) so I installed the oldest Intel HD 620 and it works like 1000 hour power computer do the same thing it will work.
Have any questions hit me up...- ashminismathCopper Contributor
mahmoodqazi there seems to have a second cursor appearance every time the system goes brick. what can be the cause? It happens when i go for file explorer .

- Rahul2001Copper ContributorIf you're still having this issue don't do hard reset. Just press windows key + x + power button. It will shut down.
