Long boot up time for no reason
Hi. So my laptop has never had long startup times till now. It used to go from the lenovo screen right to my lock screen but now it shows the lenovo screen and then a black screen for like a solid minute before it goes to the lock screen. No idea why it's taking so long now. I don't have a lot of startup programs. I really haven't done anything different. I've tried the usual fixes that a google search came up with. Thank you. It's a lenovo ideapad 1 with windows 11.
Please try to disable fastboot. Sometimes, it can sometimes cause delays, especially if there’s a driver or hardware issue.
- Press Win + R, type control, and press Enter.
- Go to Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup and click Save changes.
- Restart your laptop and check if the delay is resolved.
