Let us turn off vulgar word filters in dictation in Windows 10
The word filter in Windows 10 dictation is quite annoying, it blocks our ability to type anything we want. there needs to be a toggle to turn this setting off. there Is no word filter when we type something with keyboard, so it doesn't make sense to have word filter when we use speech to text.

- JonnekeCopper ContributorI totally agree. I work as a translator in the medical field. As you can imagine, body parts are part of the ecquasion, and I have to keep going back into the field to replace the Asterixes with the actual word, which defeats the purpose.
- Booge395Copper ContributorIt's so annoying, especially in social work. Not always the most pleasant things must be spoken, but they must all be documented. Dictation blocks that half the time; it is faster to type it out. I'm a person of color. It won't let me say the word. It's not just derogatory words. It's just words they don't like. It's clearly censorship blatant censorship. It's one of those subtle ways of taking our rights even though they're a private company. People slowly get used to it and then forget about it. Most don't because it won't happen with language like it can be speech. You cannot censor people's minds.
Honestly, what's the point when you can take your mouse right, go right down to the virtual keyboard using your mouse type in the word they're blocking just as easily? What do they really stop? They're doing it for face well. The fact that it's preemptively written in the code is scary. If I tell you the wall is white and it hurts your feelings, It doesn't change that the wall's white. Your feelings are irrelevant. I'm not saying that to be mean. It's just the way the world works. And then when did young folks be able to come to the table that at the age of 40, I don't even have a seat at to tell me and us how the world should and how it must be done? That's the only reason dictation sensors. People have no clue or discernment when it doesn't concern them. When I was younger, people minded their business. It isn't good how far they've taken it, though. - DesktopMastersCopper ContributorI am having this issue as well. I have a client I just setup with it only to find they block lots of odd words.. Like "midget".. I say what I say and I do not want to be censored on my own platforms.
