To resolve your issues with the Windows Insider Program and ensure you’re on the Beta channel, follow these steps:
- Switch to the Beta Channel:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program.
- Under "Choose your Insider settings," select Beta Channel.
- This will prevent DEV or CANARY builds from downloading.
- Clear the Failed Update:
- Open Settings > Windows Update, and click Pause updates to stop the failed install temporarily.
- Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, delete all files, and restart your system. This clears the update cache.
- Reinstall Beta Build:
- Once your system is ready, go back to Windows Update and check for updates. It should now pull the Beta build.
- Leave the Insider Program (Optional):
- If issues persist, you can leave the Insider Program through Settings > Windows Insider Program, and opt to stay on a stable build by performing a clean install of Windows 11.
This should help you switch to Beta and clear the failed update. Let me know if you need further clarification!
