I joined windows insider, and before I start I wanted to note originally only wanted to be in the beta, not the DEV or CANARY builds as I am a beginner. However, at this moment in time, the DEV build downloaded and this build is trying to install, I have clicked download/install multiple times and it takes forever, (I know it takes time but normally is much faster on my device) but when it finally hits 100%, it requests the restart for the update process, whenever my system is rebooted windows update says "Attention Needed" and the install failed. Yet-- when I go to update history this is what shows: Here is what my insider page looks like currently for note: So I am confused and frankly would either like to get this update install gone, or just the beta. Any assistance would be very much appreciated, especially since I am a newbie.2.4KViews0likes3CommentsI was told by a Microsoft assistant to come here for help regarding an insider update issue.
As the title reads, a Microsoft assistant told me to consult this community regarding the issue I am facing now. A while ago, I foolishly did not read the fine print and opted into the dev channel of the insider program, because I was having difficulty installing Windows 11. I later found out to my horror that, I could not opt out until a particular window was announced. I have been waiting since then, and updating my computer in hopes that one of these updates will allow me to swap back to the beta channel, and then, hopefully to a stable version of Windows. When I attempted to update today to the "Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.26120.2705) (KB5050636)", I received the "Install error - 0x800f081f" message, and all the results I have searched have so far given me nothing but pieces of advice that make me fearful for the safety of my computer data. Is there anything I can do that will not run the risk of data deletion, or is it hopeless? I feel like I've run down every alley here. Thank you.167Views1like2CommentsInaccessible boot device error

I've as of recent updated to Windows 11 through the Insider Program and everything has been stable so far, except my internet speeds, Usually It works for a minute and then slows to a crawl for a couple of minutes and it repeats that the whole time, I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, reset the network, turned on and off firewalls and all sorts of stuff that would normally fix the issue, though nothing has worked and the internet is still really slow, this didn't happen back on my Windows 10 install and I really don't wanna go back because of an annoying issue System Info OS Name - Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Version - 10.0.22000 Build 22000 Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor, 3800 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) BaseBoard Product - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING System Type - x64-based PC Network Adapter Name - Intel(R) I211 Gigabit Network Connection Adapter Type - Ethernet 802.32.3KViews0likes2CommentsI cant update to Windows 11 Insider Preview 25158.1000 (rs_prerelease)

I am trying to load the Release Preview channel version of Windows 11, but I am running into some issues with minimum requirements. The PC Health Check says that I meet the requirements, but Windows Update says I don't. Anyone know how to fix? I contacted MS support and they sent me here. *Screenshots attached* Thanks _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 MOBO: Asus Prime X370 PRO RAM: 16GB Corsair SSD: Samsung 1TB, in GPT booting in UEFI mode in secure boot GPU: GTX 1050 TPM: AMD fTPM enabled2.2KViews0likes4Commentsexplorer.exe CPU usage spiking after opening edge, disabling alt-tab
The process explorer.exe will rise to 14+% CPU usage shortly after I open Microsoft Edge. It is consistently at 14% for no apparent reason, and returns to 14% even after restarting the process. I think this may be because of my high tab count on Edge (1500 tabs / 50 windows), but this issue doesn't happen with other browsers at high tabs counts, so I'm not quite certain. While explorer.exe is running, I cannot alt-tab. While restarting the process, I can alt-tab with the grey panel ui. However, when the process restarts, I can no longer move back and forth in that alt-tab ui, and I need to restart the process again. I can end the task, which re-enables alt-tab, again with the grey panel ui. However, this kills my taskbars, with no way to restart them. They become blocks of my system theme colour. In addition, my windows key no longer works, neither for pulling up the windows menu or for shortcuts such as screenshotting with win-shift-S. There is a string of black blocks along the bottom of my display, above where the taskbar should be. When clicked on, it shows a minimize button of very old style, the same one as shown on the Adobe Genuine Software Service. The issue goes away when I log out and back in, or when I restart my computer. The issue goes away a minute or two after I kill off the Edge process, but only if I didn't kill the explorer.exe process. When explorer.exe is killed, the settings app also freezes, not even resizing when the size is changed.1.2KViews0likes1Comment
