How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

Microsoft has already confirmed to tech sources like the one I provided earlier that they will bring the feature back in the summer, you have to remember that all of these are made out of millions of code data. 3rd party apps may work though they may break stuff or stuff. As simple as spotlight collection is, it's not always working 😄
Windows 11's taskbar according to sources I see online was built of a new modern code that will make it better for the future. No one is forcing anyone to upgrade to Windows 11, if you wish to stay on 10 you stay on it 😄

huali1405I finally uninstalled Windows 11 about 2 months ago and back to 10 after trying all tricks to enable this never combine taskbar buttons. It worked, but simply not comfortable.
I certainly won't be back to Windows 11 until this feature is back.
- sami_fiBrass ContributorYes, we need to bring back "Never Combine taskbar buttons' to taskbar settings!
- bhilton81Copper ContributorPLEASE bring Never Combine Taskbar icons back!!!
- AlexandreMartinsCopper Contributoromg, we need so fast this fix! Please Pernille-Eskebo do this more fast. My work is more slow without this opt!
- DeletedAs this taskbar is a new code on modern code to make it better it would take time to add in the code for the feature you request and that it won't' break anything. Probably around Summer Anniversary Update they will release it 🙂 Along with new UWP inbox apps and new widgets 3rd party

Deleted That is not true since registry edits and third party tools that make further edits have brought back almost all the user friendliness that existed in Windows 10.
Windows 11 is just a few hacks away from perfection and yet you come with false statements like that.
- jeremywindowsCopper ContributorBring back never combine on the taskbar! It is very hard to be productive without it!
- DeletedHI Everyone! It seems according to tech sites that this feature will be back as well as new updated inbuilt apps plus more widgets from 3rd parties. It will be ready around Summer time for 22h2 or Sunvalley 2 update!
- turtlemonkeyCopper ContributorYes bring this feature back. Are you kidding me?
- damichabCopper ContributorThere are a number of things I do not like about Windows 11, but the 'Never Combine' issue put it over the edge - I have gone back to Windows 10. Because I had left it more than 10 days, I had to go back and do a full reinstall. For those thinking of doing likewise - keep in mind that the Windows.Old file gets automatically deleted after 10 days.

Thank you I think you need to remind about it!
Best regards
- cynipidCopper ContributorThis is very unproductive, It shouldn't be so hard to bring "never combine taskbar buttons" option back. Every time It slows me down when working.
- DeletedHI Cynipid and Everyone, it seems that this new taskbar according to this article the taskbar was made from scratch on a modern architecture so that is why it doesn't have it yet. Though it may come by the Fall 2022 update 🙂
https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/12/28/microsoft-is-trying-to-fix-windows-11-taskbar-issues/- The_KenBrass ContributorThanks for sharing this. It looks like they will be restoring drag & drop to the taskbar. I did not have much of an issue with that. I am disappointed there was no reference to re-adding the never combine option.
- brettwadehotmailcomCopper ContributorAlso chiming in that the loss of this feature is frustrating. It is Soooo unproductive. Bring back disable grouping.
