I ended up doing some digging around and found the posts about Easy Anti Cheat, which was preventing my system from enabling kernel protection and there were two drivers preventing memory protection from enabling. Deleted those and update finally installed.

But those were not in any of the logs or compat files. I had to manually find those and remove.

I have also been experiencing this same error when attempting to install the same update.

Did you check the compat log in:

    C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\CompatData*.xml

You can upload it to a LLM chat like Co Pilot or ChatGPT and it will tell you the blocks you may be experiencing. It's just faster than trying to go through the logs yourself.

I have a Microsoft driver that was blocking my upgrade. oem.52(Printer) Ended up force deleting it as I don't have any printers nor use the PDF service.

However, there is another Generic Block preventing my device from updating even after deleting the driver.

Apparently, there is a device channel that is currently blocked and Microsoft is working on a fix. I assume you are probably on that channel as well.

I was able to install the .4441 beta update but still can't install the .4250 Build release upgrade.

I am actually curious what your PC specs are to see of there is a common variable. I am on a custom build:

    • Asus z690 Formula Motherboard (updated bios and firmware)
    • 12th gen i1712700k CPU
    • 64GB DDR5 Ram
    • 2x 2TB NVME SSD's
    • Gigabyte RTX 4090 GPU (updated GPU firmware and NVIDIA drivers.
