Anyone figured out how to get rid of that bar that drops down from the top in Windows 365?
Hey folks,
Bit of a random one, but it's been annoying me for a while.
When I'm using my Windows 365 Cloud PC, there's a bar at the very top of the screen that keeps appearing whenever I move my mouse to the top edge. I think it's the connection/session control bar.
I almost always run apps maximized, and every now and then I accidentally hit the top edge and that bar pops down. Not the end of the world, just irritating enough that I started wondering if there's a way to disable it completely.
Has anyone found a setting, registry tweak, policy, or some hidden option to stop it from showing up? Or is it just something we're stuck with?
I'm using Windows 365 through the Windows App.
Thanks!

I don't have the Windows 365 cloud PC presently. Unless things have changed, I remember that moving the bar to the right helped. Then it didn't overlay the browser tabs.
I believe I also renamed the PC with a shorter name.

Unpinning the connection bar makes it auto-hide, but it still reappears when your pointer reaches the top edge—that’s the behaviour you’re describing.
For Windows 365 through Windows App, I’m not aware of a supported setting or policy that completely disables that hover-triggered bar. Registry tips for the older Remote Desktop client (mstsc) shouldn’t be assumed to work in Windows App.
The practical workaround is to use the Cloud PC in windowed mode, then maximise that window. It changes the full-screen experience, but avoids the drop-down bar over your remote apps.
If you need full-screen mode without the hover bar, submit that specifically through Windows App’s feedback option. It’s a different request from simply allowing the bar to be unpinned.
