Would a Surface-only version of Windows 11 be a good idea?
I’ve been wondering why Microsoft doesn’t have a version of Windows 11 that is specifically optimized for Surface devices. The Surface Pro is basically a laptop and tablet in one, but the Windows experience can still feel like a desktop interface running on a touchscreen.
A dedicated Surface edition could focus more on touch controls, tablet navigation, battery life, and overall performance. It could also make the interface feel more consistent when switching between the keyboard and touchscreen.
Would you actually use a Surface-optimized version of Windows 11 if Microsoft released one? What features would you want it to have?

A dedicated, adaptive tablet mode that automatically switches based on device orientation and usage context, with minimal manual toggling.
A more fluid experience when switching between keyboard/mouse and touch input, with adaptive UI elements.
