Windows11 Which app takes up 1 TB disk space
I checked Windows storage settings yet found no large‑size files. The Wiz storage scanner showed Overwolf and Outplayed's auto‑clip cache ate one‑terabyte space. Why do these apps produce such huge c...

That 1 TB is most likely from Outplayed’s automatic recording feature. It runs through Overwolf and keeps recording gameplay in the background so it can save recent highlights. With high-quality settings, those video files can grow very quickly.
To fix it:
- Open Outplayed and save any clips you want to keep.
- Go to Outplayed Settings > Storage/Recording and check the recording folder and storage limit.
- Delete unwanted recordings from inside Outplayed.
- Completely exit Outplayed and Overwolf, then use WizTree to check the remaining folder. Delete only confirmed video or temporary files, not the entire Overwolf folder.
- Empty the Recycle Bin.
To prevent it happening again, lower the recording quality, disable automatic capture for unnecessary games, set a smaller storage limit and enable automatic deletion of old recordings. If the cache continues exceeding the limit, update or reinstall Outplayed and Overwolf because their cleanup function may not be working correctly.
