Windows11 File Explorer Copy as path menu item missing from right-click context menu
Intermittent behavior points to the selected item or a context-menu handler, not the folder’s path format. Select one file or folder, then right-click the item itself. Check the primary menu and Show more options, or press Shift+F10 for the classic menu. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+C on the selected item and paste into Notepad to verify the full quoted path. If still missing, restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager and test a local file in a new Windows profile. If it works there, disable non-Microsoft shell extensions or context-menu utilities one at a time and retest. Search results, virtual folders, and provider-backed locations should also be compared with a local folder. Avoid registry menu replacements until the responsible extension is identified. If the problem reproduces with local files in a clean profile, report the exact folder type and Windows build through Feedback Hub.
