Windows Insiders Install Error 0xc1900101

I keep getting error 0xc1900101 when installing Windows Insiders updates. The update causes black screen and pixelation. I’ve tried multiple fixes but nothing works. What should I do?

Is your system booting in secure boot? or legacy, try boot in secure boot efi mode and proceed with update

  • Temporarily disable XMP/EXPO memory overclocking in the BIOS, then try the installation again using the default memory frequency.

  • Usually the upgrade error 0xc1900101 is due to conflict from installed software or external devices while you upgrade.

I highly recommend to temporarily disconnect external devices while you perform the upgrade.

If issue still persists, see if other suggestions mentioned in this fix helps you:
