Windows Defender says it's disabled, but everything is actually on
I've been getting a notification that says "Virus protection disabled. Click to activate Microsoft Defender," but when I open Windows Security, everything is enabled—real-time protection, ransomware protection, all of it. I checked Event Viewer and there's no 5001 event, which would normally indicate the antivirus actually shutting off.
The weird part is this started right after a glitch during a gaming session. I was playing Palworld while on a WhatsApp call when the screen flickered with lines for a split second, and then my friend said my mic was producing horrible static. I fixed the audio by messing with the driver, but now this notification keeps showing up after every restart. Scans with Defender and Malwarebytes came back clean.
Is this just a bug from a recent Defender update, or is something actually wrong?
