Windows 11 WINLOGON Issue

I am experiencing an issue with our AS400 client and Windows 11. Since the most recent major update, the WINLOGON feature in Windows 11 no longer works to allow the Windows AS400 client to auto-connect. The below article will help explain the issue. I am looking to see if there is a way to re-enable the needed WINLOGON feature.

    1. Right-click the AS400 client shortcut or executable.
    2. Select Properties.
    3. Go to the Compatibility tab.
    4. Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and select an older version of Windows (e.g., Windows 7 or Windows 8).
    5. Check Run as administrator.
    6. Click Apply and OK, then test the AS400 client.

Contact the vendor of your AS400 client (e.g., IBM or a third-party provider) to see if there’s an updated version that’s compatible with Windows 11. Many legacy systems have updated clients or patches to work with modern operating systems.
