Windows 11 Why does Virtual Desktop copy my main desktop?
I want to use Virtual Desktop to organize apps and reduce clutter, but new desktops just copy all apps from my first one. I don’t want a new user account—am I missing something?

You're right—when using Virtual Desktop on Windows 11, creating a new virtual desktop typically copies all open apps from the current desktop, which can lead to clutter rather than organization. This is the default behavior, and it's understandable that you'd want separate app setups without resorting to a new user account.
Now, you can add apps to this new virtual desktop without copying anything from the previous desktop.
When you create a new virtual desktop, close all the applications that were copied from your primary desktop. This will give you a clean slate.
