Windows 11 Week numbers to taskbar and calendar
Hey microsoft!
I like to see week numbers! Please add this feature. I don't want to browse internet for simple things.
I found out that you can add dddd or ddd to see week day on taskbar without clicking calendar, but nothing for week number.
PS. Add :ss to short time! I wanna see seconds on my taskbar clock!

as a last resort i created a short cut with the following target:
C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -Command "Get-Date;'week';(Get-Culture).Calendar.GetWeekOfYear((Get-Date),(Get-Culture).DateTimeFormat.CalendarWeekRule,(Get-Culture).DateTimeFormat.FirstDayOfWeek);'day';(Get-Date).DayOfYear;pause"add it to the taskbar, to the start menu or give it a short cur key

Hey Guys,
you too enjoying a more demographic operating system?
My fix to this one is a shortcut to the powershell executable plus an arguments .. proceed as follows:- Create a shortcut (File Explorer) and enter the following command as it will also locate the item (powershell.exe):
C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -Command "Get-Date;'week';(Get-Culture).Calendar.GetWeekOfYear((Get-Date),(Get-Culture).DateTimeFormat.CalendarWeekRule,(Get-Culture).DateTimeFormat.FirstDayOfWeek);'day';(Get-Date).DayOfYear;pause"
- Give it a name ... something like date_detail or so..
- Double click it to see if it works
If not, check its properties, enter the code above into the target field .. works at least on my system.
For fast access consider adding it to the start menu or the task bar ... for frequent access consider giving it a short cut key (also to set in the properties of the newly created shortcut).
- Create a shortcut (File Explorer) and enter the following command as it will also locate the item (powershell.exe):

Been waiting for this feature for years, I would love for them to add it!

Now 2025, and still not added. Pretty please Microsoft. It's in Outlook.... why not Windows itself?
Thank you!
- gomartechCopper ContributorWe are now in 2024 and this bug has not yet been fixed! If this was left out intentionally, the product management that designed calendars without week numbers should really ask themselves if they know what a Calendar is. Even printed, I don't recall seeing one without week numbers - at least the ones that were printed by the business partners and been given around as Christmas presents.

Gumdalf absolutely agree for that feature to add week number on taskbar at date time location.
- LionelhCopper ContributorYou're right that Windows 11 does not have a built-in feature to display week numbers in the Taskbar or Calendar. However, you can use the "Region" settings to customize the date format and include the week number.
- NicolasSKCopper ContributorMeanwhile it is possible to show seconds via taskbar setting.
I would like to see the calendar week numbers also. For me it would be enough to have them inside the calendar that pops out of the taskbar. This would be much faster than going to outlook... - hudsonsoaresCopper Contributor
Gumdalf reach this tread while looking for this subject. Seems to be simple, why not? Let wait 😞
