Yes. The latest version of Windows 11 will encrypt the disk with BitLocker by default.

  Where did you get the news? In the past, BitLocker was not available in Home version.

  To be clear:
  As of August 14, 2024, Microsoft will enable BitLocker device encryption by default for clean installations and new PCs with Windows 11 version 24H2. However, upgrading to 24H2 won't automatically activate device encryption. BitLocker is only available on Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions, not Home.
