Windows 11 upgrade fail not finding disk
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on how to resolve this. I have a desktop which doesn't meet the requirements for a Windows 11 upgrade, so I found a reputable site which offers a work around install. I loaded up the files on a USB and tested on an older laptop that didn't meet requirements, and it ran just fine and is now running Windows 11 nicely.
However I just tried to upgrade my PC and all went well until the final reboot which came back with a disk failure hit ctl - alt - del to reboot. I did that and get the same error.
Is this some kind of BIOS issue I might be able to easily resolve?
Using unendorsed workarounds can sometimes lead to driver or hardware detection issues. If possible, reverting to a clean, official Windows 11 install (if hardware is compatible) often leads to fewer issues.

Most likely, the issue is related to UEFI/BIOS settings or drive partitioning. Double-check BIOS settings, ensure the drive is properly recognized, and repair boot files if needed.

Sometimes, installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware or using workarounds can lead to driver or boot issues; you might need to manually repair boot files.
