windows 11 thunderbolt 4 bug
Seems MS has ditched Thunderbolt support in favor or USB 4.
Which renders my investment in a well-provisioned Thunderbolt IV motherboard and thousands worth of Thunderbolt professional audio useless.
I built the computer and designed my studio rig around Thunderbolt capability.
Windows 11 Pro does not and will not identify Thunderbolt III devices nor will Win11 Pro instantiate my Intel thunderbolt drivers.
I am constantly under threat to upgrade my OS from Win10 Pro - which handles Thunderbolt - to Win11, which does NOT accommodate Thunderbolt!
Why is there no response from Microsoft on this issue?
Just to be clear, I don't think that the issue is related to Microsoft. I own a Surface 10 Pro enterprise running windows 11 and TB4 work perfectly. I dont have any issue on 2 desktop with Asus motherboard and windows 11. All this devices have TB4 driver package available. My issue is with a Dell XPS 15 where Dell doenst provide any driver package for the TB4 controller ans it's still not working 2 years after the purchase date. All I get from Dell is that the Issue came from Microsoft but I can confirm that all other device I own are working fine. (I'm alose using a Lenovo x13 Yoga @job ans TB4 works fine with windows 11)

I copy. Despite the usual willingness to blame myself first, here's the deal:
Asus was, I understand, the first non-Intel/non-Mac board designed with Intel's support, and I run an Asus B550 Pro Art board provisioned for TB 3 & 4. It has two Thunderbolt ports on the rear panel.
With Win10 Pro, I am able to run two Thunderbolt III audio interfaces, a big Presonus Quantum and a desktop Universal Audio Apollo.
Absolutely nothing convinces Win11 Pro to correctly install and recognize the Intel thunderbolt drivers, or to recognize either interface.
Instead, Win11 defaults to onboard audio, and as such, is useless.
