I meet the same phenomenon on Lenovo's Extreme Gen4
Although it was unstable at first, it was usable, but it stopped recognizing the connected device
I have been communicating with Lenovo support, but it has not recovered and the reply from support has also stopped

After Bios UpDate(1.22), it was recognized when PCIe tunneling of TB4 item was turned OFF in BIOS setting
I hope this stabilizes

I am having the same problem with Dell's XPS 15 9530 (this year's model) running 13th gen, did you manage to get it working?Edit: Seems like with Windows 11, there isn't a "Thunderbolt Controller" in device settings. Microsoft has integrated it into USB4 - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/component-guidelines/usb4-intro-to-connection-manager?source=recommendations
I was able to find the "thunderbolt" under Device Manager ->Universal Serial Bus controller
