Windows 11 Search Slow: Very, Very Slow!
Windows 11 26200.7922 indexing is excruciatingly slow. I'm averaging between 900 and 2000 files indexed per 12 hour period. Is there a bug? Is this the new normal? Has indexing been vibe coded?
Windows Search (WSearch) is a resource-intensive process that can consume a significant amount of CPU and memory resources, especially when indexing a large number of files.
I have a AMD MAX+ 395 with 128 Gb RAM.
Spasmodically, Task Mgr reports .01% CPU. Across all instances a total of 110MB RAM used
I wish it would take up some of the resources available to it!
