Windows 11 Pro and Bluetooth
Today, I made the mistake of turning of my Bluetooth connection and lost my mouse functionality. So, using my keyboard, I attempted to go into Windows 11 Pro settings and manually move the Bluetooth toggle switch to on with the down arrow key on my keyboard. This did not work at all and neither did attempting to reinstall or update the Bluetooth drivers.
Because this issue was so trivial that I almost reinstalled Windows due to my frustration..., I thought I might share some of the Bluetooth settings that do not recognize any keyboard functions.
- Expect to be able to use a keyboard right or down arrow to enable Bluetooth in the Bluetooth Devices panel (shown below):
- Expect to be able to use an Enter key on your keyboard to enable the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" checkbox in Bluetooth Settings (shown below):
Note, that this may not be the case with your keyboard or mouse. Current hardware in question is all Logitech MX Keys S and M350 series Pebble 2 on a Ryzen 9 mini that fully supports AI technology.
My only resolve here was to find an old, wired mouse that did not run on Bluetooth to enable the setting.
It seems that Windows 11 Pro would have thought this issue through on OS design and functionality. But, after moling through several articles, I found nothing that would solve this issue but replacing the mouse temporarily.
Skyler-B, the toggle switch was not accessible through keyboard function otherwise, I would have turned on Bluetooth via System settings for Bluetooth. The only way to resolve the issue was to use a wired mouse to enable it. Windows 11 Pro is missing keyboard functionality that will allow me to enable without a mouse. That is why I posted the screen captures.

Enable the Bluetooth menu and install the latest Windows 11 24H2 update.
