Windows 11 is the worst OS I've used after Windows Vista!
- I agree, cause Windows 11 is so laggy when I zoom! I'm just a student and Windows 11 ruined my school experince! with lag! NEVER EVER. Going to upgrade to Windows 11, I rather stay on Windows 10 forever. Even though it's already reaching end of support.
Deleted Dont knock vista. It only had driver issues due to lazy manufactures not wanting to switch to 64 bit (not a miocrosoft issue) but microsoft saved the day by making compatible drives for most hardware.
Anyways windows 11 is a learning curve, I would rather go back to windows 10.
Windows 8/8.1 sucked, I had to use a 3rd party app for the start bar. I might have to do the same just for windows 11, as the start bar on windows 11 sucks.
Why do they need to change things? This messes up productivity as well as introduces a steep learning curve that's not needed.
I personally feel violated, microsoft should of asked first before moving my start menu to the centre.
Also microsoft tried their best to force windows 11 updades on my pc, they are very sneaky.
I find on my surface is slow as hell, when i open a folder it has to scan which akes time and cpu usage spikes. didnt do this before. So basically my surface 8 is now messed up because of this. And Windows security is missing and cant be fixed so i cant turn off anti virus to see if thats the problem. So basically the installation got botched on that tablet.
For months I been putting my connections to metered to avoid the OS from downloading, but it somehow found a way, now most of my pcs run windows 11. Time for a re-install !
After Windows 11 came out and they enforced the TPM security, I had enough. I was already tired of the crashing and other problems that come with Windows so I bought a Macbook M1 and man best decision I have ever made. I only use my Windows machine to play games.
The software on Mac never crashes - literally NEVER CRASHES - and the OS is so stable I can't remember the last time the OS crashed. I can just work and work without any issues with the OS or software. Furthermore, the laptop is super fast and the battery lasts forever. On my Thinkpad with Windows 11, I would be lucky to get 4 hours of battery. On the Macbook, I easily get 12+ hours using it full force with brightness all the way up. I never carry the charger anymore.
Everything just works. I can send and receive files from my phone, the SMS text messaging is tightly integrated so I can send and receive texts, make calls, contacts etc. I can drag and drop files and everything just works perfectly. I can also use my IPAD as a second monitor for my Macbook so I carry my IPAD around and have a tablet and second monitor to go along with my laptop.
Apple is so far ahead of MS in terms of the OS, hardware and integration. The Apple hardware is so much better in terms of quality compared to buying a Thinkpad, HP or Dell. Now with the M1 chip, the price of the laptops is very reasonable.
I was a 25+ year Windows user and never thought I would ever use anything else but after using Mac OS for a year now with the M1 chip, there is no way I am ever going back to Windows.
It just amazes me that Microsoft with all the resources they have cannot build a comparable product. The Mac M1 is lightyears ahead of MS in terms of software, hardware and integration.
