Windows 11 fails to Wake Up from Sleep mode

Hi

There is a similar post elsewhere in these boards but the suggestions there haven't fixed this for me.

I have a Samsung laptop with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz, 16 GB RAM, (64-bit operating system, x64-based processor).

Problem only started after I upgraded to Windows 11. It's fine if I remember to close the lid - and I've extended the sleep delay trigger to 20 mins which helps. But having to force a restart and lose all my tabs and docs each time I forget is really annoying! Any idea how to fix this problem? Thanks!

I have the same issue, all the fixes I have seen just attempt the very basics "check usb settings, run troubleshooter" etc... Have also seen a lot of posts linking this issue to graphics drivers but I honestly don't think its any of these. I'm on a desktop and my case has a ring led, when the pc goes into sleep mode, the ring led starts to blink about once a second (standby mode), all fans etc are off. I notice that when I move my mouse/tap a key on the keyboard/press the power button to wake up my pc, the fans (including graphics card, cpu etc) all come on, the pc is for all intense and purposes waking up (I even hear the mobo make the same beep it does during a normal power on or restart) but the ring led stays in the same standby mode, blinking every second, this makes me think this is a bios issue as case power led is controlled by the mobo.
  • Hi now I had the same thing, but it was the first time this month, - it was an update that forced the shutdown of the system, so if it happens sometimes it is normal, is it often repeated?
