Windows 11 Explorer does not open folders
I am having a difficult time with my Windows 11 Desktop. I Have Windows 11 Home Build 26100.3915. When I double click in a windows folder, it does not open right away. When it does the subdirectories and files below it start blinking on and off. Meanwhile my CPU speed performance also flickers up and down. I have tried different things like turning off all non-Microsoft services an programs at system startup to no avail. Sometimes it appears that it is not happening but a few minutes later I have the problem again. I even went as far as wiping my hardrive clean and reinstalled Windows. The problem did not go away. I have no idea what to do to fix the problem. Any help with my issues will be apreciated.

Since a clean reinstall didn’t help, consider testing your RAM (using Windows Memory Diagnostic) and storage (SSD/HDD health with tools like Crysta1DiskInfo). Hardware problems can cause performance hiccups and file system issues.

Since folder flickering and CPU performance are involved, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit your GPU manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and get the latest driver.
