Windows 11 Explorer: can't order quick access items in the left pane

I can't reorder the quick access items in the right pane of the windows explorer through drag and drop. It's weird, because if i drag and drop one of them to the top, it works, but if i want to place...

Try left clicking and holding the folder and press the escape key. Release the left click then release the escape key.

Tomimys if I followed what you wrote, it didn't really do anything.

    Didn't work for me either. What DOES work for me is to go to Options/ View/ Navigation Pane and untick "Show All Folders." Rearrange folders in left pane. Go back re-tick "Show All Folders."

      Ya that's what I've been doing since Nov '22 when I saw njerisanyu's post of a stumbled on solution. I just wanted to try the above. Probably shouldn't have bothered.
