Windows 11 242 has stricter hardware requirements compared to Windows 11 23H2/22H2, and if your system doesn't meet these requirements, the installation will fail. Please check the minimum hardware requirements of Windows 11 24H2:
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC).
- RAM: 4 GB or more.
- Storage: 64 GB or larger storage device.
- System Firmware: UEFI with Secure Boot capable.
- TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0.
- Graphics Card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with a WDDM 2.0 driver.
- Display: High-definition (720p) display, 9" or larger monitor, 8 bits per color channel.
If your PC doesn't meet these requirements, then Windows 11 24H2 will fail to install. And you have to reinstall Windows 11 24H2 by applying a few tricks to bypass the system requirements.
Tip: You can use the official PC Heath Check tool to check whether your PC is eligible to install Windows 11 24H2 or not.
Steps:
- Download the PC Health Check tool from the official Microsoft website.
- Install and run the tool.
- Click Check now under the Introducing Windows 11 section.
- The tool will tell you if your system meets the requirements and provide details on any issues.
