Why won't the app sending me scam notifications show up so I can uninstall it?
So I clicked "Allow notifications" on some sketchy link, and I got flooded with fake virus threat pop-ups. I managed to find where the notifications were coming from and turned them off, but now I want to actually remove the thing. The problem is it doesn't show up anywhere—not in my apps list, not in the Start menu, not in Add or Remove Programs. The only place I can find it is buried in the notification settings.
How do I locate and delete something that only appears in notification settings and nowhere else? Is there a way to trace where it's actually running from, or is it enough to just leave the notifications disabled? I'd rather get rid of it entirely than leave it sitting on the system.

Your screenshot identifies it as a website sending notifications through Microsoft Edge, which explains why there’s no app to uninstall. The antivirus-looking logo doesn’t make it a real antivirus alert.
To revoke its permission:
- Open Edge and enter edge://settings/content/notifications in the address bar.
- Find the domain shown in your screenshot under Allow, open its menu and choose Block.
- In Edge Settings, search for site data, find the same domain and delete its stored data. You don’t need to visit the website.
Turning it off in Windows silences the notifications; blocking it in Edge removes its ability to send them through that browser profile. The old sender entry may remain in Windows Settings, but that alone doesn’t mean software is still running.
If all you did was click “Allow notifications,” that doesn’t by itself install a Windows program. If you also downloaded or ran anything from the pop-up, run a full Windows Security scan.
