Why when i sort search results does it run again?
If i do a search and I see all the files and I want to sort them by name, I have to do that. Upon doing that, it performs the search again. It seems like it should just use the results and resort the...
It’s mainly because of how the search and sorting are programmed. When you do a search in Windows Explorer (or similar file managers), they often treat the search results as a new query. So, when you click to sort, it’s like telling the system to "re-search" based on those same parameters, which can cause it to redo the entire process.
