Why there are many apps icon my new laptop?

I bought a new laptop and once I got into the desktop, there are a bunch of app icons on the desktop. Is there any way to hide them?

  • You can create a folder on the desktop and move the icons into that folder. Right-click on the desktop, select New > Folder, name it, and then drag and drop the icons you want to keep but not display directly on the desktop into this folder.

No worries. There are legit apps. You can uninstall them as you want.

    Use the Taskbar:
Right-click on the Taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
In the Taskbar settings window, toggle off the switch next to each app icon you don't want to see.

Most laptops come with pre-installed applications from the manufacturer or Windows itself. Things like trial versions of antivirus software, office apps, or media players can all clutter up your desktop.

They are stock apps installed by the OEM. Don't worry as they are quite safe!

Sometimes, simply restarting Windows Explorer can resolve issues:

1.Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
    2. Scroll down to find Windows Explorer, right-click it, and select Restart.
