Why the old Windows install file takes so much space?
That seems a bit excessive for presumably useless data now. Is it actually useless and ok to delete?

You can delete them unless your planning to go back

It will stay for 15 days and you can delete it at any time if the computer does not have any issue.

This is normal and you can delete them without any issue.

The old Windows install file (Windows.old) stores your previous system version for recovery. If you don’t need to roll back, it’s safe to delete and can free up a lot of space!

It automatically erased by itself after maybe 1 month and if you want you can manually remove this but if your removed this then you can’t go back to previous windows build.
If you don't plan to go back to previous version of Windows, you can simply check Previous Windows installation(s) option and click Remove files.
Note: This operation is not-reversible.
