Why the LG Monitor App installed without my notice?
This app was installed on my computer without any notice. I plugged the new LG monitor and saw this app from my Settings dashboard. This is not good!
This is the app from LG and safe to use.
Certain drivers come with separate applications for managing device settings. If the application is a Win32 version, it is typically installed alongside the driver. However, if it is a packaged app, such as those for LG monitors, Intel Graphics, or some HP printers, it is more likely to be downloaded from the App Store.
Use Windows' own installation records to establish whether this was delivered by the Store, Windows Update, or the device metadata path. Open Reliability Monitor, select the installation day, and save the event details; then check Event Viewer > DeviceSetupManager for the monitor connection.
