Why is installing drivers through the Windows installer still so backwards?
I was struggling with a missing WiFi driver and tried to install it from a USB stick. The driver was in .exe format, which the Windows installer doesn’t recognize. It would just open the folder with the driver but wouldn’t run the .exe. I found a workaround by opening the console, running explorer, and launching the .exe manually from there. WiFi started working right away.

Windows do not automatically run exe-files on a usb-stick.
