Why Doesn’t Windows Have a Screen Time Feature?

macOS and mobile operating systems already support screen time features, which can be quite useful in certain situations. I’m curious to know why Microsoft hasn’t added a similar feature to Windows yet.

Microsoft actually offers a feature similar to Screen Time called Family Safety in Windows 10 and Windows 11. It provides options for setting screen time limits, app restrictions, and activity reporting for family members.

Windows does not currently have a built-in screen time feature, but similar monitoring can be achieved through the Family Safety app or third-party tools.

  • That feature would be very helpful!

I highly recommend to drop this as a feedback to Microsoft via Feedback hub app. That would be the right way to make this idea reach to the right engineering team.
