Why did my laptop suddenly become extremely sluggish and almost unusable?
My laptop has suddenly become extremely sluggish and almost unusable, with programs taking minutes to open, constant freezing, and high disk or CPU usage even when idle, and this started happening out of nowhere without any new software installations or hardware changes. Could someone help me diagnose the root cause by suggesting which system logs to check, what background processes might be misbehaving, or whether this could be a sign of failing storage, overheating, or malware, and what steps I can take to restore normal performance without reinstalling Windows?

I suggest to:
-Scan full system with Windows Security
-Run sfc /scannow command in admin Command Prompt
