Which AI headshot generator is best to make headshots for LinkedIn?

I work with a lot of clients who try AI first, so you’re not alone in this. I've even tried a few myself. Of the free ones, Canva free - not so good, chatgtp a little better (but I have a paid version of ChatGTP). 

The biggest factor isn’t actually the tool—it’s the input photos. If those aren’t well-lit and natural, the output almost always looks slightly off (especially around eyes and skin).

Where AI tends to fall short is consistency and nuance. You might get one great image out of 40, but it’s harder to control expression, posture, and the exact message you’re sending.

If you just need something quick and low-stakes, it can work.

If this is for client-facing work, speaking, or anything trust-based, that’s where having a real photo that matches how you actually show up makes a noticeable difference. If you can't afford to go to a studio, and can't get a good result from AI, see if you can find an in-person job fair or something like that locally that offers free headshots.
