What’s the point of using the Windows login password?
I don’t see the benefit, as I’ve read that if someone has physical access to the computer they can still gain access without knowing the password.
1.Security: Windows logon password is the first line of defense to protect your device and data.
Prevent unauthorized users from accessing your computer and personal information.
2.Privacy:
Logon passwords ensure that only authorized users can access your files, applications, and settings.
In a multi-user environment, passwords can differentiate between different users' permissions and data.
3. Compatibility and legacy support:
Many businesses and organizations still rely on passwords as their primary authentication method.
Some applications and services may require passwords to function properly.
4. Multi-device synchronization:
Windows passwords can be synchronized with Microsoft accounts, making it easy to use the same credentials on multiple devices.

A password serves as the first line of defense against unauthorized users. If someone attempts to access your computer without authorization, they will be blocked by the password requirement, thereby protecting your data from casual snoopers.
