What is the best audio recorder software for PC and Mac?

Voice Memos is the built-in audio recording app for macOS, perfect for quickly recording ideas, meetings, lessons, interviews, and more. It supports iCloud synchronization for seamless access to recording files between Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Part 1:  Start audio recording on Mac
1. On the application screen, tap the red Record button.
2. Once the recording starts, you can pause the recording and resume it later.
3. When recording is complete, click "Finish".

Part 2: Manage and edit audio recordings
1. On the left side of the application, click Recorded Audio.
2. You can rename the audio file (double click the name to modify).
3. Click "Edit" to edit the recording and cut the unwanted parts.

Part 3: Export the recording
1. Select the audio file and click the "Share" button.
2. Select "Save to file" or "Send via e-mail".

For more advanced audio recording software on Mac, please use a dedicated audio recorder app instead. The built-in Voice Memos only has some basic recording options.
