User name in File Explorer is wrong - Can I change it?
I have just set up my new ASUS Zenbook laptop. Before I switched it on I switched of my router so there was no internet connection. I thought this would allow me to set up Windows without registering...
If you want to avoid Microsoft account sign-in in the future, during setup, try disconnecting from the internet before starting the setup, or choose "Set up for personal use" and look for the option "Offline account" or "Limited experience". Sometimes Windows 11 prompts for internet early in setup, but there are workarounds.
