The HP laptop gets hot, fans run loud

My HP laptop running Windows 11 overheats severely during basic tasks, with the fans constantly spinning at maximum speed and producing excessive noise. The chassis becomes uncomfortably hot to touch even when idle, and I have already tried updating drivers and adjusting power settings without any improvement.
